A large difference I see between the experience of a man and the experience of a woman, at least in the US, is that women can be weak and still receive love from others. In my experience, this does not seem to be true for men.

I wonder, are you referring to others in the micro sense (a wife or husband, a friend, a colleague, etc) or in the macro sense (society)?

What I can say is, that it seems when a woman is weak, she receives love. When a man is weak, he receives consolation. And this is true for the macro and the micro.
